A wet blanket扫兴的人 My daughter Ray returned from school today.I told her to celebrate her birthday today&She was happy.We were to eat Chinese pancake as mainfood for lunch.I started to prepare some dishes for her birthday party.我女儿小瑞今天从学校回来了。我告诉她今天要给她庆祝生日，她很高兴。午餐我们把烙饼做主食。我开始为生日派对准备菜肴了。 To my disappointment,my mother stopped me.让我感到失望的是我妈妈阻止了我。 ＂It's not auspicious to celebrate it today,cause the Chinese pancake would destory her good fortune.It was cooked by fire.And the fire will take away her good luck.＂ ＂今天庆祝生日不吉利。因为烙饼会破坏她的好运。烙饼是用火加工的。火会带走好运。＂ I saw the happy face of Ray's suddenly disappeared.I knew she must have felt disappointed at that moment.But I didn't want to quarrel with my mom.我看到小瑞脸上的笑容马上消失了。我知道她那刻肯定很失望。但我不想和妈妈吵架。 ＂ Let's make it tomorrow,ok?"I comforted her. ＂ All right.＂She said reluctantly.Then she turned around and went into her room.
